Waco Family Associate Partner
Sune Agbuke (pronounced SOO-nee uh-BOO-kee), "Of Counsel," joined the B&T family in March 2018.
Sune attended Baylor University where she had the privilege of playing Lady Bear basketball from 2011-2015. During her time at Baylor, she was honored to be on the 2012 National Championship team, as well as win 4 Big 12 Conference Regular Season Championships and 4 Big 12 Conference Tournament Championships. Sune is currently No. 3 on Baylor’s all-time career blocks list.
Following her athletic career, Sune was a 2015 NCAA Woman of the Year Award Top 30 Honoree in honor and recognition of her service and leadership, academic achievement, and academic excellence. The same year, Sune also received Baylor University’s John Westbrook Award for Courage and Perseverance.
Sune began law school while still competing as a student-athlete for the Lady Bear basketball team. She graduated from Baylor University School of Law in 2017 and was licensed to practice law shortly thereafter. Sune received the Fraley & Fraley Mock Trial Award in 2017.
Sune was selected for the 2018-2019 class of LeadershipSBOT, a program designed to recruit, train, and retain Texas lawyers for leadership positions in the legal community and the State Bar of Texas. It is a great honor as only 20 lawyers are selected each year.
In her spare time, Sune enjoys volunteering at Greater Waco Legal Services, coaching youth basketball, cheering for her Lady Bears, and, most importantly, walking downtown Waco with her 120-lb Great Dane.
Sune is passionate about being a voice for her clients and fighting to protect them, their families, and their interests. She is an aggressive litigator who has handled a variety of difficult legal matters including family law, divorce, criminal law, Title IX law, and university disciplinary procedure.
