Mr. Thomas is the former President of the 27,000 member Texas Young Lawyers Association. He received the Graduate of the Last Decade (G.O.L.D.) award from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2017. Prior to that he was named a Rising Texas Star by SuperLawyers magazine. He was voted the Outstanding Young Lawyer in 2014 by the Abilene Young Lawyers Association and received the Bob Black Bar Leaders award from Texas Tech University School of Law in the same year.
Mr. Thomas currently serves on the District 8 Grievance Committee of the State Bar of Texas and volunteers with multiple charitable organizations. He also frequently teaches at several regional police academies and for several law enforcement agencies.

C. Barrett Thomas (‘08), founding partner and manager of the central Texas office of Blanchard & Thomas, LLP, was honored to be the keynote speaker for the hooding ceremony at Texas Tech Law in December 2016. Thomas told the graduates that their newfound careers hold great promise and an even greater responsibility.
Kristy Blanchard is an accomplished family law attorney with a reputation for intensity both in the courtroom and at settlement, especially when the welfare of children or other underdogs are concerned.
Her compassion and thorough preparation have won her a place as one of the top lawyers in Texas for nine straight years in Texas Monthly and on the list in the current issue of The Best Lawyers In America.
Mrs. Blanchard currently serves as Immediate Past President of the Texas Young Lawyers Association, as an Executive Director of the State Bar of Texas, and as a Trustee for the State Bar Private Insurance Exchange. She also serves on the board of directors for Texas Lawyers for Children, a non-profit organization that provides statewide assistance to judges and attorneys who handle abuse and neglect cases.
Melissa Tyroch Bragg
Melissa Tyroch Bragg, an Associate Partner, joined the firm in January of 2018 after a successful career in charitable gift planning, higher education and government affairs. Melissa, a graduate of Texas A&M University, received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Tech School of Law and has been a licensed attorney since 2006. Melissa received her MBA and a Certificate in Charitable Financing Planning following law school. She is experienced in assisting clients and families in a variety of difficult legal matters including family law, divorce, criminal law, strategic business planning and estate planning.
Melissa learned at an early age that community service connects people in times of need. She enjoys serving on the Citizens Review Committee for United Way of Central Texas, the Altrusa International of Temple Board of Directors, the Bell County Youth Fair Scholarship Committee and as a community volunteer in her church. Melissa was recently selected as a Fellow for the Texas Bar Foundation.
